We made it!
I always say that after midnight on New Year’s Eve, if I’m still awake. And if not I say it on New Year’s Day. It’s sad to think that so many people unexpectedly did not get to greet 2016 with us. A way of showing gratitude for being here to see 2016 is to make sure you give your best throughout the year. And of course without a plan, you will fail.
So today is my planning day. As for my self care plan, I’ll start the year with a detox, but this time I’m sharing it with you. If you haven’t joined us, click here to register now, as the price increases at midnight.
And as for my overall success plan, I was thinking, what are the 3 things that have hindered me in the past? Those 3 will not succeed in 2016. For me they are fear, distraction, and discouragement. Since I know that what you give your attention to will grow, I set out to keep my thoughts on the opposite of those 3, which would be faith, focus, and fervency.
Faith – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. And especially- faith without works is dead.
Focus – My plan is to be steadfast and immovable. And turn off the t.v. And avoid the Facebook newsfeed.
Fervency – to have fervor: a strong feeling of excitement and enthusiasm. Yeah, I start full of fervor and then, it’s gone. Faith and focus will help with that, a lot.
There’s a lot more detail that goes into that plan, but I’ll be checking in with myself and my team each week to make sure I stay on course. What is your plan to end 2016 with the same fire that you have today?
As I’m about to publish this post I just learned of the passing of Natalie Cole. I ran into her once in the shoe department of Saks in Atlanta. A very statuesque and beautiful Diva, and from my encounter, a gentle spirit. May she rest in peace.
